Do you have any hobbies?
I'd say music is my favorite hobby. I'm a weekend musician (bassist) and I really enjoy playing all styles of music--from swing to jazz and
rockabilly
to blues. I also really appreciated supporting and listening to other local bands and musicians. It's just something that has always been part of my life.
What are a few of your favorite movies?
When I was younger, I worked at our local movie theater. It was a fun part-time job. There was a five-year period in the late 80s and early 90s in which I probably watched all the new releases. I like
sci-fi
a lot: "Star Wars" and the like. But I love quirky comedies, too. I'd have to say that “the Big Lebowski” is my favorite movie for now. "The Dude abides."
What are a few of your all-time favorite TV shows?
When I was a kid, it would have to be “Batman” and “the Monkees.” When I had kids, I wound up watching a lot of
cartoons and kids' shows. I'd say, “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “CatDog” and “Drake & Josh” were some of my favorites. Today, I don't really have any favorites.
What’s your downfall?
Candy is both my passion and nemesis. Caramel Creams and Cow Tales are my favorites. But I also love drinking black coffee while eating a Butterfinger.
Mallo Cups
and anything with nougat are top on my list, too.
Any favorite sports figures?
I'm a Cleveland Browns football fan. Growing up,
Leroy Kelly
was my favorite player. That was back in the day when they played outside in horrible weather on real grass. Kelly was a great running back in the mud. When I played youth and high school football, I always felt like I played better in the mud, too.
In a story of your life, which actor should play you?
I'd request that Brad Pitt play me, but the late
Don Knotts
would probably be more of a natural fit.
